This is obviously the very first time I’m officially recording an Adsense arbitrage course.
My previous lessons have been focused primarily on SEO, with live lessons covering some key Adsense arbitrage topics.
Our past students raised a lot of concerns about not really seeing value in the program.
This was annoying to me, somehow, because I had given so much to the program.
But then, I had a deep thought about it, conducted some polls, and realized that the vast majority of these students didn’t know much about Adsense arbitrage.
When I recorded the program, I didn’t go deeply into a lot of concepts because I was connecting the dots with other lesson sections.
Even during most of the live classes I had with them in the past, none of the students raised concerns that they didn’t understand my training. Neither did they ask strategic questions about their challenges with Adsense arbitrage.
This gave me the impression that they all had it figured out.
Little did I know I was just juggling my thoughts.
It escalated to a point where many students began sharing their grievances. I read their heartfelt messages and started thinking of the best steps to take.
Although I had promised them an update, I got caught up with some life issues, which in hindsight, I’m grateful I didn’t release the program update blindly without first conducting a survey. I guess everything happens for a reason.
After hearing their concerns, I had to restructure the entire program into two parts.
I realized that the vast majority of students joined the program for SEO purposes initially but later transitioned their interest to arbitrage as SEO became increasingly unpredictable.
I also realized that many students were newbies in Adsense arbitrage, though they were quite experienced in SEO. They joined the program specifically for Adsense arbitrage, even though we had always marketed #TOOMT_Mastery as a generalized blogging course covering insights into Technical SEO, On-page SEO, Off-page SEO, Traffic, and Monetization.
Based on how the program was initially recorded, students who joined strictly for Adsense arbitrage felt it wasn’t valuable to them. This prompted me to segment the course into two parts:
– Generalized Blogging Mastery (old version recording)
– Advanced Arbitrage Course Program with Facebook Ads (new version), which will be released on the 29th.
This approach allows newbies, intermediates, and experienced bloggers to find immense value in the program.
This experience has made me think deeply about course recordings. The reality is that, if not for the sake of legacy, I don’t think the mental stress involved in course creation is worth it for me. Even after evaluating the numbers, it doesn’t add up at all.
But good enough, we’ve made significant changes, and we are re-enrolling students based on the aspects of the program they’ve indicated interest in.
