There’s a big difference between mentorship and course programs.
It’s nearly impossible for you to buy a course program and start seeing results immediately.
This is because the tutor focuses on ensuring that the student comprehends the essential concepts of the skillset.
If you buy courses with the intention of getting fast results, chances are that you may not succeed.
Courses create practical awareness, opening your mind to what’s working in a particular field.
Here, if the tutor is transparent enough, they express many concepts that you can leverage to succeed through the recorded training.
While, Personalized Mentorship is like cutting all the corners of theoretical learnings and moving directly to the actual plug-and-play concept of things with direct 1-1 supervision.
This is where you can decipher if a particular mentor is truly winning or not, because many tutors don’t offer this service.
In layman’s terms, it’s like asking, ‘Sir, I want to learn the exact concept that is yielding those results practically. I need 1-1 guidance where you will hold me by the hand and show me what exactly you’re doing.’
This is very different, and many tutors will not do this. Even if they decide to expose their core strategy, you’ll pay for their time, which will be exorbitant because, if they are truly winning, they can make your mentorship fee in less than a few hours.
I’ve gone through these types of training many times, and one of the most expensive retainer mentorship I acquired in advertisement, which spanned six months, was about $20,000 back then, which I was able to recover in sales within a year.
That was because I had 1-1 guidance with my mentor at the time, where he was reviewing what I was doing and correcting many of my errors.
I’m making this post because I see many people confusing courses for mentorship and feeling that it’s possible to use N300,000 – N500,000 naira to make $20,000 without any personalized 1-1 guidance, which is nearly impossible.
As much as I’ve given my best to most of the course programs I’ve created in the past, and I’ve had many successful students who were very hardworking and knowledgeable to an extent succeed, it doesn’t mean that you can just watch a recorded video and start making $20,000 just like that, even if that exact pattern is working. That training might have possibly been viewed by over 2,000 smart others that took action.
When you buy courses, bear in mind that the exact concept the tutor is coaching on might not work; what will work is your modification of the concept you have understood from the training, and that takes some level of experience (trials and errors).
